Alease H. Bailey, 90, passed away on Oct. 5, 2011. She loved traveling with friends, playing bridge, and growing her roses. Mrs. Bailey was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Captain Asa Haughwout; husband, John W. Bailey Jr.; and grandson, Steven W. Bailey.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Kevin Bailey of Suffolk.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, by the Rev. Carl LeMon at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1589 Steeple Drive, Suffolk, with interment to follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 7, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. Condolences may be registered at www.bakerfoster.com.
