Bryan Lee Gordon, 50, passed away Oct. 5, 2011. Born in Gloucester County, Virginia, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Dee and Joseph Gordon. Bryan began his employment as an apprentice pipe fitter at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and at the time of his death was a zone manager with the shipyard.
He is survived by his fiancÃe, Sharon Spivey and her two sons Ryan and Benjamin Carr, all of Suffolk, the Lewis family, Ed, Jane, Riley and Sarah of Severna Park, Md., and his special Boy Scout Troop 16 family where he was very much involved.
A celebration of life will be conducted Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, by the Rev. Brian Sixbey. A gathering of friends will be from 6 to 7 p.m. before the service and dress Hawaiian style in honor of Bryan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 16 in care of Scoutmaster Tony Stewart, 3625 Ithaca Trail, Suffolk, VA 23435. Bryan, I heard that you had passed from Josh. i had been trying to call you and didn't realize what had happened. It saddens me that I was not there to say goodbye. I am glad that you finally found a family. You will be missed. Love you and miss you. Ann
