Doris Ann Quattlebaum, 84, went to be with the Lord March 17, 2011 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Quattlebaum. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Quattlebaum leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Rebecca L. Russell and husband Percy; her son, J. Christopher Quattlebaum and wife Susan; 11 grandchildren, Jeff, Scott, James, Denise, Joseph and wife Misty Quattlebaum, Jennifer and husband Sean Vieira, John and Jana Sauerbrunn, Jason and wife Anna Russell, Brandon and wife Heather Russell, Ashley and husband Worth Jernigan; seven great-grandchildren and another due in July, Jenna and Jayce Quattlebaum, Seth Quattlebaum, Jacob and Nicholas Vieira, Addison Jernigan, Kearstin Russell, baby girl Russell expected in July; special nieces, Gwen Pell and Rosemary Laughon; many other family members in Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina. She touched the lives of many families and their children through the years as their Grandma "Q."

A celebration of life funeral will be held Monday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew?s United Methodist Church, 5615 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23701 by the Rev. Michael Reaves. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett?s Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435 from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 20.
