My condolences to the family.
Although I have known his name from childhood being from the same neighborhood, only just recently have I spent time in his direct company. You quickly realize two things, of ability, he is a standout among painters. The other, he truly loved his family.
God be with you.

David you will truly be missed!! You were so nice and kind to me. I will miss joking around with you while you would be working with Tony Strawderman. And you were such a cutie pie and FLIRT!!! I remember going to a Christmas Party with you at Portsmouth Tool & Die!!! I had a great time. May you R.I.P David. When my mom told me the news about what happened I was in complete SHOCK!!! Then Saturday nite I had to go to the Store (so I made a special trip down the ally I wanted to see it for myself) where it happened and I HIT ME. I Started crying my eyes out. YOU WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE THAT YOU KNEW AND CAME INTO PEOPLES LIFE. May God Bless your parents. LOVE YOU MY FRIEND!!! LOVE ALWAYS, Sharon Ellis-Pollert <3<3<3

I'll See You in the Dawn

I never thought this day would come
I still can't believe it's true
Though I am comforted, because I know
Where you are
That still doesn't bring me you.

But I know that you
Will live on
I see you in our daughter's eyes
I'll remember you in our grand children
I'll hear you in James's lullabies.

I'll know of your encouragement
With the rising of the dawn.
I'll listen for your laughter with the
Setting of the sun.

I can't say goodbye
I just don't know what to say
This is a path I never thought I would follow
Please show me the way.

Never leave my memory, as the sun filtered through
Your hair
As we watched the sun rise
Friends without a care.
As we sped on your dirt bike
I screamed with fear
And you held my hand to let me know I was dear.

There are so many unanswered questions
They will just have to stay
Unanswered for the moment, but explained
In His way.

My dear sweet, David,
Your road has been so long
I'll look for you in the stars, my friend
I'll see you in the dawn.

Colleen J. Tillett 2/9/2012
