Maria Sanchez French, 72, passed away Dec. 24, 2011.
Mrs. French, a native of Cordova, Spain and a former resident of Newport News, was the widow of Ronald Lee French, Sr. since his death in 2009.
Survivors include six step-children, Pam Spangler, Eva Ingram, Mary Koons, Ronald French, Jr., Richard French and Donald French; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters in Spain; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may join the family from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett’s Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
