Thomas I. Grimes Sr., 80, died May 13, 2011. He was the son of the late James and Annie Grimes and the widower of Marie Facenda Grimes. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired computer analyst for the city of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra G. Brusso and husband Ed of Chesapeake; son, Tommy Grimes of Suffolk; two sisters, Katherine Rowe of Portsmouth and Estelle Heinrich of Virginia Beach; a brother, James Grimes of Annandale, Va.; and three grandchildren, Eddie, Lindsay and Elizabeth; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Monday, May 16, at 11 a.m. in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435 by the Rev. Jonathan Geortz. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered at www.bakerfoster.com.
